Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as a public speaking. Feminist Frequency is a site which hosts video and commentary looking at the portrayal of women by the media and in popular media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American media critic and blog writer with awards to show for her work, is an activist blogger. Feminist Frequency an online platform for education that examines gender roles within pop culture, is managed by Sarkeesian. She's dedicated to breaking down stereotypes of women as they are depicted in pop media. She also seeks to educate people about cyber-bullying targeting women and marginalized groups of people. Sarkeesian holds a Masters in political and social thinking from York University. As a public speaker, she is extremely sought-after and has given talks at TEDxWomen XOXO, TEDxWomen and United Nations Broadband Working Group. Since her early years, Sarkeesian was fascinated by gender issues and feminist thinking. When she was still in school, in 2009, she founded her Feminist Frequency Website. Her website was in the process of launching a collection of videos on the web that looked at gender roles in video games at the time she came under the sway of harassment online. However, the harassment didn't hinder her. She was only able to strengthen her position reputation as a feminist journalist. The award-winning journalist has received numerous accolades due to her prominent contributions to the field of feministism. Anita Sarkeesian has been a media critic for years as well as the founder of Feminist Frequency which is an educational non-profit that explores gender representation in pop culture.
