Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Half English mixed with Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father was an Argentine who is of Scottish and English descent. Her mother is Spanish-English. The Taylor-Joy family was a household that included six children. Four are her siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's father. The family resided at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy explained the relocation was difficult and that she was unable to go back to school in English as she wanted to return to Argentina. Hill House, a school in the same district as Northlands was required to take her. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. Then she dropped out of the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting career. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to be an actor and her goals were realized after she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
